The Board program includes a tribute, From Exodus to
Excellence, at the Clandestine Immigration Camp, Atlit
The 2010 International Board of Governors session takes place at Technion between June 11 and 16. Highlights include the Festive Opening and presentation of Honorary Fellowships with a performance by popular Israeli singers Noa (Achinoam Nini) and Mira Awad. The following evening, Honorary Doctorates will be conferred on eminent scientists and public figures. A special excursion on the final evening will take participants to the Clandestine Immigration Camp at Atlit.

New facilities to be dedicated include The Edie and Joe Fischer Family Hall, The Hellenic Technion Society Multimedia Corner and Student Exams Corner, and The Elizabeth and Daniel Peltz Student Boulevard in the Shalom Stanley Zielony Student Building; and the Jeri and Joel S. Rothman Family Seminar Room in the Asher Space Research Institute Building.

The Faculties of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering will be showcased with participants able to get hands-on experience in faculty labs and classrooms. Other events include the dedication of the Stephen and Sharon Seiden Frontiers in Science and Engineering Forum and the Raphael and Miriam Mishan fMRI Research Facility.

Guest speaker at the faculty awards ceremony is Technion alumnus Danny Yamin, General Manager of Microsoft Israel. The Yitzhak Modai Annual Lecture on Technology and Economics will be delivered by Technion alumnus Shai Agassi, Founder and CEO of Better Place. All details correct to May 10, 2010.
